I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm a southern Louisiana woman who migrated to Missouri many moons ago. I married a wonderful mid-western guy and ended up making the midwest my home. I have a daughter (Ellie 13) and two stepchildren (Sarah 24 & Trevor 18). I also have 4 cats who pretty much run our household (Winston, Melvin, Lewis & Margo).

I'm also just a girl in love with making things. June Heart Studio is a place for me to explore creative projects in the world of journaling and share them with others with the same passion. I am obsessed with vintage stationary, beautiful images, and piecing together journals filled with pretty things.

I was first introduced to junk journaling by my lovely mother-in-law when she made me my very own journal. I fell in love instantly! Ever since, we've shared a bond of hunting for vintage supplies and crafting journals. I am so glad to have someone close who will squeal with me over old book and paper!

​

When I'm not playing with all my fun supplies, you can find me in the kitchen trying new recipes or laying on the couch reading books while petting my kitty babies. I'm definitely an "indoorsy" kind of girl and do not enjoy outdoor activities unless you count hunting for estate sales. 

 

I named my business June Heart Studio as a tribute to my maternal grandmother whose heart was deep down a beautiful thing to behold. She was also immensely talented in many creative areas. However, she struggled with alcoholism and other addictions for most of her life. June Heart reminds me to look beneath the surface of the many people I meet and that healing from the past is a worthwhile priority.
